Metals are hard

Non metals are not

There are 5 physical properties of metals they are

Appearance

Sonority

Malleability

Ductility

Electrical conductivity

By all the five properties we can find either the substance metallic or non metallic

1. Appearance: material which shine are called lustrous and materials which do not shine are called non lustrous

2. Sonority: material which produce ringing sound are called sonorous materials

3. Malleability: the material which can be flattened into thin sheets are called malleable materials

4. Ductility: the property of drawing a material to make fine wires is called ductility

5. Electrical conductivity: some materials which passes electric current through them are called electrical conductors

ANSWER:-

Metals are good conductors of electricity and heat, non-metals are poor conductors. Unlike non-metals, metals are ductile, which means they can be stretched into wires. Another difference between metals and non-metals, is that the former has a metallic luster, while the other does not.
