Some of the differences between physical properties of metals and non-metals :

<> Lustrous : Metals have lustrous property where as nonmetals don't have this property .

<> Sonorous : Metals produce sounds but not non metals.

<> Electricity : Metals conduct electricity in them whereas non metals cannot.

But graphite can also conduct electricity tho it as an nonmetal.

<> High Melting and boiling points will be found in metals but not in nonmetals.

<> Malleability and ductility property's can be found in metals whereas we don't find it in no metals.

Non metals have more than 4 electrons in their valence shell. So they can gain electrons easily. These elements and those to the right of them are nonmetals. Elements just to the left of the line may be termed metalloids or semimetals and have properties intermediate between those of the metals and nonmetals.
