Meter in is a method by which a flow control valve is placed in a hydrulic circuit in such a menner that there is a restriction in the amount of fluid flowing to the acutator.
In this circuit the flow rate goes into the cap end of the cylinder.
While in meter out circuit the flow rate come out of the rod end of the cylinder.
2-meter in used for positive loads whereas meterout used for both positive and negative loads.
