At the time of birth what teeth we have is called milk teeth . This teeth is not strong or won't sustain for our life time as time goes it will fall

After the fall of the milk teeth we get a new teeth which is stronger than that and can sustain for a long time

Physical difference

The milk teeth not only protudes in the front but also protudes in the back giving it a cave like structure

The permanent teeth only protudes at front

A:Primary teeth are Milk teeth, which appear in the mouth at 6-7 months and shed by 11 years. These are 20 in number. Permanent teeth appear at 6-7 years and the last permanent tooth (Wisdom tooth) appears at the age of 17-23 years. Most permanent teeth erupt at the place of milk teeth except few.
