_MITOSIS_: This type of cell division occurs for growth and regeneration of worn out cells . In this each mother. ell divides to form two identical daughter cells. The daughter cells have the same number of chromosomes as that of mother cell..

_MEIOSIS_:This process involves two consecutive divisions. When a cell divides by meiosis it produces four new cell of just two .The new cells only half the number of chromosomes than that of the mother cell. This type of cell division help in the division of gametes which after fertilization produces of Springs.
