Main difference between mitosis in animal cells and mitosis in higher plant cells is in cytokinesis. Animal cells undergo furrowing. In plants cells, however, the cell walls prevent complete separation of the cells so cells must divide by means of a cell plate

Here's Your Answer..!!

There are basically 3 differences.

Stated Below-

Animal Cells-

  1. Asters are formed.
  2. Cytokinesis by furrowing occurs.
  3. Occurs in most tissues throughout the body (for growth and replacement)

Plant Cells-

  1. Asters are not formed.
  2. Cytokinesis by cell plate formation occurs.
  3. Occurs mainly in growing tips of plants and sides (for lengthening and increase in girth.)

Hope This Helps..!!
