difference between mixture and compound​

A mixture is formed when two or more substances physically mixed together. A compound is formed when two or more substances are chemically combined through a chemical reaction. Unlike mixtures compound can only be formed if the substances are combine insert in mixed ratios

• Composition of a compound is fixed. It has definite formula.

• It shows properties of it's constituents.

• It doesn't have fixed melting and boiling point.

• Composition of a mixture is variable.

♡ Example:- Air, salt solution.
