Difference between mixture and compound short answers

The different substances are not chemically joined together. Each substance in the mixture keeps its own properties. The compound has properties different from the elements it contains. Each substance is easily separated from the mixture.

Compounds are those which get chemically mixed and its constituents loses their properties while mixtures are those which get mixed physically and its constituents retain their properties
