moderate climate means that there is not much variation in weather conditions and temperature. i.e days and nights have equivalent temperatures and weather doesnt change much.
extreme climate refers to the wide variation between weather conditions and temperature. for e.g. in westsrn rajasthan the day temp. shoots 50 and night may go down to 15. such a difference is due to the absence of the moderating influence of sea.
