  • The invention of mobile phones have made communication very easy and simple so that any common person could communicate.
  • Mobile phones have made communicating with any person very fast as compared to older times.
  • Mobile phones has made communication through long distances that were impossible in earlier times very possible and easy now.
  • The advent of the internet and social media platforms has made communication with a large number of people, through no distance boundaries, and also through pictures and vediocalls which couldn't even be imagined in the older times very easy and simple now.

When we talk about what communication used to be in the older times. It depends about which time frame we are talking about.

Communication in the 20th century:

  • In the early 20th century telephones were invented. But only a few people could afford it. Therefore letters were the major form of communication in early 19 hundreds.
  • Letters took many days to reach and hence the responses were late.
  • In the second half of the 20th century telephones were the major form of communication.

Communication in the 19th century:

  • Letters were the only form of communication in the 19th century.
  • Since very few people knew how to already and write communication was mostly done throught face to face conversations.
