Monera is a unicellular organism, they have a prokaryotic cellular organization, which means they lack well-defined, membrane-bounded organelles and nucleus. On the other hand, Protista is also unicellular organisms, but consist of eukaryotic cellular organization and well defined,membrane-bounded organelles and nucleus, this is the main difference between them.

Kingdom Monera :

● This Kingdom includes bacteria blue green algae also called cyanobacteria and mycoplasma .

● These organisms are prokaryotic that is they do not have a defined nucleus and lack cell organelles.

●Some of the organisms have cell walls like bacteria and blue green algae while others lack cell walls as in mycoplasma

● Mode of nutrition is either autotrophic (as in blue green algae and some bacteria )or heterotrophic ( as in mycoplasma and most bacteria).

Now , coming to kingdom protista :

● This Kingdom includes unicellular algae diatoms and protozoa

● The organisms in this kingdom are unicellular , eukaryotic organisms as well defined nucleus and other cell organelles are present.

● Mode of nutrition is either autotrophic as an algae and diatoms or heterotrophic as in protozoa .

● Some protist bear hair like Cilia or whip like flagella for movement .In some protists like Amoeba movement takes place by pseudo podia .
