Dicot Stem:-

  • Vascular Bundle - in ring .
  • Pith - Made up of parenchyma cell situated in the centre of stem.
  • Ground Tissue - Differentiated into cortex and pith.
  • Hypodermis - Collenchymatous.
  • Endodermis - One layered , strachy sheath which is usually not well differentiated.
  • Medullary ray - Found in between vascular bundles.
  • Secondary growth - Present

Monocot Stem:-

  • Vascular bundle- Scattered
  • Pith - Absent
  • Ground tissue - is not differentiated into cortex and pith
  • Hypodermis - Absent
  • Endodermis - Absent
  • Pericycle - Absent
  • Medullary Ray- Absent
  • Secondary Growth- Absent
