Dicot Embryo.

*terminal cell produces embryo except the radicle.
*the first division of terminal cell is generally longitudinal.
*it has two cotyledons.
*plumule is terminal and lie in between the two elongated cotyledons.
monocot Embryo.
*Badal cell produces a single celled suspensor.
*it forms hole of the embryo.
*it is transverse.
*it has a single cotyledons.
*plumule appears lateral due to excessive growth of the single cotyledon.
