The South Indian Mountains (Eastern and Western Ghats) essentially have a place with Peninsular India which are far more established than the Himalayan range. Peninsular rocks (stone schists and gneisses) are for the most part volcanic and changeable sort where are Himalayan rocks are moatly Sedimentary (Limestone) type.
The Himalayan mountains are expected to orogenic developments and upliftment because of consistent development of Indian Plate towards North. Himalayan mountains are always under pressure and exposed to tremors.
