In this question, we are asked to write the difference between a mouse and a light pen.

  • A light pen is comparable to a mouse, with the exception that you may move the pointer and select items on the screen by directly pointing the pen at them.
  • An all-directional lever known as a joystick is used to control the movement of a pointer or other display sign.
  • The mouse is another piece of hardware that facilitates desktop navigation by acting as a virtual arrow, hand, etc.
  • Additionally, clicking (either with the left or right mouse button) facilitates the execution of commands.
  • Depending on the resolution of the website a user is currently working on, the scroller on the mouse can be used to move up, down, or even sideways.
  • Another piece of hardware, the light pen, is comparable to the pen or pencil used to write on hard copies.
  • The user can experience actual writing with this design, but more of what is written is fed into the softcopy paper he is working on.
  • A light pen is more practical than a mouse for signing documents. Depending on the software being used, it can also be used to sketch drawings.
