Difference between movement leaves of sensitive plant and movement of a shoot towards light in points

movement of leaf sensitive to touch is called Thigmotropism.It is caused due to the movement water molecules to pulvinus of the leaf. Movement of shoot towards light is called phototropism . It occurs as, the leaves are induced towards sunlight. Hope this will be useful for you.

• It is a non directional movement ( nastic movement )

The Movement of shoot towards light :-

• Movement of shoot is towards the stimulus like light.

• It is a directional movement. ( Tropic movement.)
