Difference between multi tape and multi track turing machine:

  • A multi-track is a turning machine which has ‘n’ tracks.
  • It also has a read-write head which is used to read and write the data in each and every track individually.
  • The ‘n’ value must be greater than one. The single track machine can specify the working of the multi-track machine.
  • A multi tape is a turning machine that has ‘n’ tapes.
  • It  also has an a read-write head which is used to read and write the data in each and every tape individually.
  • The multi tape machine is the lower or previous version of the multi-track machine but can do the same work with almost equal efficiency.
