Multitasking is a process by which, in an OS, you do two functions simultaneously. Eg:- listning to music while working on a document....

When we are able to do two or more things simultaneously in an operating system, that operating system is called multi tasking operating system.

Almost every GUI(Graphical User Interface) based operating system is multi tasking operating system

Microsoft Windows, Mac, Ubuntu are some examples of multi-tasking operating system.

When multiple users can access same operating system using different hardware (terminals) is called multi user operating system. A multi-user operating system allows more than one user to access a computer system at one time.
