Multiple fission occurs in unicellular organisms whereas spore formation occurs in simple multi-cellular organisms.
Example of organism showing multiple fission is Plasmodium
Whereas Rhizopus shows spore formation.

Though sporulation is quite similar too multiple fissio that is in both the cases many daughter cells are formed at a time from the parent cell the difference lies in the formation of cyst wall.
In sporulation each daughter cells does not posses individual cyst wall but together surrounded by one cyst wall to release the daughter cells under favourable conditions the cyst wall dissolves which is similar in both the cases.
