Hypermetropia and Myopia , both are refractive defects in vision and are nearly opposite in nature. Below are the differences between the two . Inmyopia , a person is not able to see distant objects clearly. ... Myopia can be corrected by using concave lens of suitable focal length.Myopia may be corrected with lenses. Concave lenses are used here. They spread the light out before it reaches the convex lens in the eye, therefore letting the image focusdirectly on the retina. Hyperopia is known to you probably as farsightedness.

myopia (near sightedness) is that defect of vision due to which a oerson cannot see distant objects cleary(though he can see nearby objects) whereas hypermetropia is far sightedness is tgat defect of vision due to which a person cannot see nearby objects clearly(though he can see the distant objects clearly)
2 the far point of an eye suffering from myopia is less than infinity.
3 the defect of eye called myopia is caused due to 1 short focal length
2 due too eye ball being too long
the defect of eye calked hypermetropia is caused
1 large focal length
2 due to eye ball being too short
hypermetropia are corrected by using spectacles containing convex lenseswhereas myopia is corrected iusing concave lenses
