Narrative writing will be usually in the first person. Like I saw, I felt, I said, I observed. The writing is like a story (usually chronological) that is told by the author as is seen, heard, and observed by the author. The form of speech will be direct speech and in active voice. Autobiographies are narratives.
Informative writing is like a report. This is usually in third person. It is a sort of impersonal report in passive voice and indirect tense. The news reports in newspapers are informative writings.
