Hello Dear

--Nitrifying bacteria are those bacteria

which help in nitrogen fixation.

--They use inorganic nitrogen as substrate.

--Final product is NH3 ammonia.

e.g. Nitrosomonas,Nitribacter etc.

Sulphur bacteria

--They use inorganic sulphur as substrate.

--Final product may be SO2 if it is oxygenic or Simply S if anoxygenic photosynthesis.

E.g. Thiobacillus,pseudomonas

Hope You understood

Nitrifying bacteria convert ammonia to nitrites or nitrates. Ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates are all fixed nitrogen and can be absorbed by plants. Denitrifying bacteria converts nitrates back to nitrogen gas. Nitrogen doesn't remain forever in the bodies of living organisms.
