• People who frequently moved from location to location and led a cell existence are called ‘nomads’.
• Nomadic humans used to stay in small organizations and lived beneathneath rocks, caves and trees.
• Men and ladies each used to take part in looking and collecting activities.
• Men used to path big animals for days so as to hunt.
• On the alternative hand, ladies and youngsters used to seek small animals and accumulate meals gadgets.
• They used to proportion the meals gadgets that they gathered a number of the complete group. This helped them to construct a sturdy bond amongst themselves.
• The meals gadgets that they used to eat had been acquired from nature therefore, there has been no idea of wealthy or poor.

Settled Life

• People began to grow their own food and herd animals.
• People started staying in one place for a long time to protect  plants and provide  water.
• As  people began to rely primarily on agriculture, the amount of grain gathered at harvest increased.
• This created the need to build storehouses, and so people began to build huts  made  of stone, wood, mud and dry grass.
• They needed vessels for storing grain and dairy products and began to make various types of pots.These pots and vessels were painted  to decorate them.
• New types of tools were formed by grinding stones into rock to give it a sharp edge.
• These sharp-edged stones were attached to a handle  to form an axe-like tool.
• These tools were called "neoliths" and were used to clear the forest for agriculture.Early evidence of agriculture was found in Balochistan $9000$ years ago. In India, evidence is found in Kashmir $5,000$ years ago and in Bihar $4,000$ years ago.
