This thermometer is used in Clinics to measure the temperature of human body.  A Normal thermometer has a temperature range of only 35ºC to 42°C.

This is used to measure the temperature of all things, except the human body. It is a complex device. A laboratory thermometer has a temperature range of  -10ºC to 110ºC.
