• This rain is beneficial to rabi crops and has no distinct branches. 

Retreating monsoon:-

• Brings rain to most of India and it also blows from south east to north.
• Kharif crops depends on them and have two distinct branches.
• They are : Arabian sea Branch & Bay of Bengal Branch.
