1. Northeast Monsoon winds blow during the months of December, January and February.
2. Clear skies prevail with low temperature and humidity.
3. They blow from the Northeast direction
4. They do not give rain except the east coast, which receives little rainfall.
Retreating Monsoon:-
1. Retreating Monsoon winds blow during the months of October and November.
2. This is a period of transition from hot rainy season to dry winter season.
3. They blow from Southwest direction.
4. Rainfall decreases as it is in withdrawal stage.
