Difference between northern plain and coastal plain.

➡Northern Plains

1. The Northern Plains are quite vast in their extent . They are about 2400 km long and about 240 to 320 km broad.

2. The Northern Plains lie in the North India.

3. The Northern Plains lie to the south of the Himalayas in one solid stretch of land.

4. The Northern Plains are watered by many perennial rivers.

5. These plains have levelled land so they are ideal for all means of transportation.

6. In one thing both these planes resemble each other both are fertile.

➡Coastal plains

1. In comparison to the northern plains The coastal plains are very small in size they are hardly 62 120 km wide.

2. The Coastal Plains lie in South India.

3. The Coastal Plains lie on both sides of the Indian coasts they are separated from each other by hundreds of kilometres.

4. The Coastal Plains are fed by rainwater and seasonal rivers.

5. These plains have slanting surface so they are not show ideal laying out roads and Railway lines.

6. These plains are also fertile and in this this respect they resemble the northern plains.
