Nucleoid is the irregularly shaped region in the prokaryotes that contain nuclear material (circular chromosome). 

Nucleus is an organelle that is membrane bound and contains the nuclear material, typically found in eukaryotes. It is not irregular in shape.

Nucleoid is found in prokaryotic cell where as nucleus is found in Eukaryotic cell
