The difference between a one-dimensional array and the two-dimensional array is that one-dimensional array store single list of elements of similar data whereas in two-dimensional array list of lists or array of arrays is stored. A one-dimensional array is also known as a single-dimensional array.

one dimensional: it means two points which is making a line by joining them. In 1st dimensional, we can move only further/ forward not backward, left, right, up and down.
two dimensional: it means a pathway with directions i. e. we have four points which is bisecting each other at 90 degree by joining them. In 2nd dimensional, we can move forward, backward, right, left but can't move up and down..
