The major difference…between one- and two-point perspective…is the number of vanishing points on the horizon line.…So a vanishing point is a spot on the horizon…to which all receding parallel lines…appear to converge or diminish.…So let's compare these two images side by side,…see the differences…between one-point and two-point perspective.…On the left side, in this Venetian canal,…this is a classic example of one-point perspective.…On the right, this is a classic example…of two-point perspective, where the corner…of a building is facing us.…
Let's explore these images a little further.…In one-point perspective, there's one vanishing point.…Lines receding away from us appear to get closer…or to converge together in the distance,…ultimately meeting at a vanishing point.…Let's look at this Venetian canal.…Notice how the buildings, the windows,…and the sidewalks along the canal…converge to one point on the distant horizon.…That happens at our eye level.…
If the same canal was seen from above,…you would see that the edges of the canal…

In one point perspective there is one vanishing point, lines receding away from the viewer appear to converge at the vanishing point, on the other hand, two point perspective has got two vanishing points and each of this two has their parallel lines converging at the end. A vanishing point is the horizon at which two parallel lines appear to converge.
