RAT HOLE MINING :
IN most of the tribal areas of the north east india minerals are owned by individuals or communities in Meghalaya , there are large deposits of coal mines , in which mining is done by family members in this type of mining minerals are extracted through long narrow tunnel.
OPEN CAST MINING:
IT IS ALSO Called open pit.. a scale quarrying is known as open pit ( quarrying : an open pit from which stones or minerals are extracted)
