Inorganic chemical industries-

1. It obtains its raw materials from inorganic chemicals, which are derived from salts or metallic oxides.

2. These industries are widely spread over the country.

3. Inorganic chemicals include sulphuric acid (used to manufacture fertilizers, synthetic fibres, plastics, adhesives, paints, dye-stuffs, etc), nitric acid, alkalies,soda ash (used to make glass,soaps and detergents , paper) and caustic soda.
