  • Crude drugs are vegetable or animal drugs that contain natural substances that have undergone only the processes of collection and drying.

# Difference between organised crude drugs & unorganised crude drugs -

  1. Organised crude drugs can be of plant & animal origin only while unorganized crude drugs can be obtained from plants, animals & additionally minerals.
  2. Organised crude drugs are direct parts of plants/animals whereas unorganized crude drugs are products of plants/animals.
  3. Organised crude drugs have deginite cellular structure but unorganized crude drugs dont.
  4. Organised crude drugs are defined by morphological character while unorganised drugs by organoleptic characters.
