OSI (Operating System Interface) model :

1. OSI model has seven layers.

2. It has provides clear distinction between services, interfaces and protocols.

3. In OSI model transport layer is connection oriented.

TCP/IP (Transfer Control Protocol / Internet Protocol ) model :

1. TCP/IP has four layers.

2. It doesn't provide clearly distinguish between services, interfaces, and protocols.

3. In TCP/IP transport layer is both connection oriented and connectionless.
