Hi friend,

The process in which high concentrated water molecules changes to low concentrated water molecules is called osmosis.
The process in which high concentration of anything changes to low concentration. The thing can be anything.

Diffusion:-

1.Diffusion is defined as the random movement of particles from a region of higher concentration to lower concentration area.
2.
Diffusion mainly occurs within gas molecules, liquid molecules or in gaseous state. The movement of particles in any two gases which are separated by a membrane is very random and constant.
3.But once this
membrane is removed then the two gases tend to mix with each other, this is the mechanism of diffusion.
4.For instance, when we use any perfume or air
freshener than the molecules tend to spread in the environment carrying out the process of diffusion.

Osmosis:-

1.
Osmosis is defined as the movement of water molecules through a semi permeable membrane from the are of higher water concentration to lower water concentration.
2. It usually occurs in a cell when the medium around that cell has a higher water concentration.
3.During this process,
the water travels from higher to lower concentration that is  within the cell and in this manner the cell gain important nutrients which are required for the growth of cell..
4.
It also occurs when water moves from one cell to another. In plants, osmosis is important for the absorption of water from the soil.
