Osteocytes are bone cells which are star-shaped and are commonly found in the mature bone tissues. The osteoblasts get trapped in the matrix of their secretions and become osteocytes.

They cannot divide by themselves and are involved in the regular turnover of the bony matrix via mechanosensory mechanisms.

White Blood Cells, also known as leukocytes are cells that are responsible for the immune system of the body and to help fight against infections, invaders, and diseases.

The WBCs are produced in the bone marrow from multipotent cells called as the hematopoietic cells.
The leukocytes are present all over the body, including the lymphatic system and blood.
