hi friend

Jaggery is a traditional non-centrifugal cane sugar consumed in Asia, Africa and some countries in the Americas. It is a concentrated product of date, cane juice, or palm sap (see palm sugar) without separation of the molasses and crystals, and can vary from golden brown to dark brown in colour.

I hope it wil help you

there are great difference between palm sugar and jaggery but the thing that created confusion is that they both sell in market with alternative name. which doesn't tell about the exact sugar. Jaggery is a commercial crop made by Jagger or gur. palm sugar is natural sugar with high sweetness but jaggery is not a natural sugar.
palm sugar is used for making sweets like rosgulla etc,it has high commercial value but the jaggery have not commercial value as like palm sugar
