Perspective projection of an object gives a magnified view of the object when it is close to the viewer. The object appears small when it is far away from the viewer.

This projection is quite helpful for artists to create scenes that are quite close to the actual view.

Parallel projection of an object located far away gives the viewer the same view of the object as when viewed through a telescope. It does not appear large when it is close to or small when it is away from the viewer.

This projection is preferred by people involved in the architecture profession.
