Difference between parallel and series circuit?
Answers
1. In series circuit, if one appliance stops working then all the other appliances connected to it stop working.
But in parallel circuit its opposite held means that if one appliance stop working then it has no effect on other appliances.
2. In series circuit, all the electrical appliances have only one switch due to which they cannot be turned off or on separately.
But in parallel circuit, each electrical appliance have its own switch so that they can be turned off and on separately.
3. In series circuit, connection of electrical appliances, the overall resistance of the circuit increase much due to which the current from power supply is low.
But in parallel circuit, the connection of electrical appliances, the overall resistance of the household circuit is reduced due to which the current from the power supply is high.
