The two simplest of these are calledseries and parallel and occur frequently. Components connected inseries are connected along a single path, so the same current flows through all of the components. Components connected in parallel are connected along multiple paths, so the same voltage is applied to each component.

Parallel combination of resistors have the
equivalent Resistance less than the individual
resistor. if one appliance gets damaged other are
not affected . Seperate switches are available.
