Pepsin:

1. It is secreted from the gastric glands of stomach.

2. It is secreted in inactive form called pepsinogen.

3. It acts on protein and converts them into proteoses and peptones.

4. It catalyses in acidic medium.

Trypsin:

1. It is secreted from the exocrine pancreas.

2. It is secreted in inactive form called trypsinogen.

3. It acts on proteoses and peptones and converts them into polypeptides.

4. It catalyses in alkaline medium.

pepsin is an enzyme which acts only in acidic medium ,trypsine is an enzyme which acts in alkaline medium. pepsin is secreted by gastric juice, trypsin secreted by pancreatic juice. Pepsin is secreted in stomach, trypsin is secreted in small intestine. Pepsin is situated in gastric glands, trypsin is situated in pancreas.
