Performance appraisal:
It is actually about analysis of of performance as well as the abilities of the employee for future development. Performance appraisal is done once per year. it has the rigid type of nature it is also known as the performance evaluation

Potential appraisal:
it is actually the evaluation of skill as well as the potential of the employee in order to assume him at higher position in firm and give the more responsibility with in the organization.
Here employee strength as well as weakness also checked.
