kilometres).

- This occurs around january 3 every year.

-The closest point to the sun in a planet's orbit is called perihelion.

Aphelion---

-Aphelion is when our planet reaches its farthest point from the sun(94.5 million miles or 152 million kilometres).

-This occurs around 4 july.

-The furthest point is called aphelion.
