Difference between periodic and permanent winds

Wind which blow at a period of time in a area is called periodic wind.
Wind which blow continuously at a permanent place is called permanent wind.

Permanent winds are winds that pretty much always blow, and blow in thesame direction. Periodic winds are that are somehow tied to the seasons. Like in spring it's generally northerly and in autumn it's generally southerly. Or something along those lines.
