Pesticides are used to kill pests. Animals are called pest when they damages the agriculture by feeding on crops such as codling moth on apples or boll weevil on cotton.
Weedicide are used to kill weeds. Weed is a wild plant and grows where it is not needed and competes with other cultivated plants, such as daisy weed, common ragwort. selfheal, etc.
