1. It is a tissue formed on the outer side of phellogen.

2. It is composed of dead cell.

3. phellem cell is filled with tannin.

phelloderm:-----

1. It is produced on the inner side of phellogen.

2. It is made up of living cell.

3. Tannins are absent.
