Pigments are colorful molecules with certain wavelength to absorb light that makes them look colorful.

Photosynthetic pigment:

Photosynthetic pigments play an important role in the process of photosynthesis as they capture light from the sun and use it in photosynthesis. For example, leaves have green color pigment called chlorophyll which traps light in leaves to make food.

Respiratory pigment:

A respiratory pigment is a molecule which increases the capacity of blood to carry more oxygen. In human beings, the respiratory pigment is hemoglobin present in erythrocyte (red blood cells)
