physical = * it is a temporary change

* the substance can be brought back

* no new substance is formed

* it does not produces smoke or etc

ex= rolling of dough

chemical= * it is a permanent change

* the product cannot be brought back

* new substance is formed

* it produces smoke etc

physical change ----

1. These changes are reversible.

2.No new substance is formed only physical properties are changed.

3.Absorption and evolution of energy don't take place.

4.They can be recovered.

5.for example: tearing of paper, cutting of woods, melting of iron,etc.

CHEMICAL CAHANGE-

1.these changes are irreversible.

2.New substance is formed with entirely different properties.

3.Absorption and evolution of energy take place.

4.They cannot be recovered
