physical measurement comprises the measurement of objects, things, etc. and is concerned with the measurement of height, weight, length, size, volume etc. whereas measurement in behavioural sciences comprises the measurement of mental processes, traits, habits, tendencies etc.

The differences between physical measurement and mental measurement ,are;
1) In physical measurement, various measuring equipments are needed.
But in mental measurement equipments are not necessary.
2) In physical measurement the measurement is very accurate.
But in mental measurement there is no surety of the accuracy.
3) Physical measurements sometimes take more time than the mental measurements due to it's equipment calibration and other procedures for the manual measurement.
