Physisorption
=> due to Vander waals force
=> not specific in nature
=> it depends on the nature of Gas
=> no appreciable activation energy is required
=> depends on the surface area
=> it is reversible in nature
Chemisorption
=> by the chemical bond formation
=> highly specific
=> irreversible
=> it also depends on the nature of the gas
